African Petroleum Producers’ Association
African Petroleum Producers’ Association Outline
The APPA was established in 1987 by Algeria, Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Libya and Nigeria in Lagos, Nigeria. The aim of the association is to promote policy cooperation, technical assistance and exchange of information in the development of petroleum products among its members. The mechanism of the association consists of the Council of Ministers, the Committee of Experts and a permanent Secretariat. The headquarters of the association are in Nigeria. There are nine members in the association.(1)
