African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) Group and the Treaties of the European Union
Description of African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) Group provided by the European Union Commission: The African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) Group was formed when the first Lomé Convention was signed with the EEC in 1975. In 2002, it encompasses 78 states (48 African states, 16 Caribbean states, 14 Pacific states), which all have preferential trading relation with the EC.
