African, Caribbean and Pacific States Outline
(The ACP) is not an international economic organization in the sense of a regional economic union, such as the EU and ASEAN. But it is a political voice in the international economic relationships of the countries. For example, the ACP as a political body has entered into four consecutive agreements with the EU (previously EEC and EC) to promote economic cooperation between the two groups. The present agreement was made in Lomé, Togo in 1989.(1)
