Abstention Rate
Abstention Rate in Election Law
Percentage of voters who did not go to the polls on election day. This percentage is highly important in that it is an indication of the degree of citizens' lack of interest in an election. It may also be an indication of how confident citizens are in the election process or in the political actors running for office.
